Foreclosure Counseling

NEW!

2010 Foreclosure Workshops at Washington County Libraries!

The Washington County Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) administers a Foreclosure Prevention Counseling Program (FPCP).  If you live in Washington County and have fallen behind in your mortgage payments you should contact a HRA Foreclosure Counselor as soon as possible.  The longer you wait the fewer options you will have for staying in your home.  The number to call is 651-458-0936 x 551, x 553 and x 582.

If you are a homeowner that would like to participate in the Foreclosure Prevention Counseling Program, your first step is to call one of the Homeownership Specialist, and they will advise you of your next steps.  Please call or email Nicola Viana at nviana@wchra.com or Pao Yang at pyang@wchra.com or Corina Serrano at cserrano@wchra.com before filling out the application and sending it back. We would like to gather some information from you first.

Counselors are now providing appointments at Hugo City Hall for residents in the northern region of the county. A counselor will be available on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month. Call the HRA to speak to one of our counselors about scheduling an appointment.
